The Tornados.Formed in 1961 but are still going strong .Led by "Clem Cattini".This CD as titled "Tornados Now" Is just that!! The Tornados today.Recorded in Corby at "Premier Studios" Engineered by "Ian Wetherell Brother of Bip who Played Keyboards at the Time the CD was recorded.Bip has now departed the Band.There are some excellent original Tunes on this Album.To order see below

PLEASE STAY: This track is an old "Drifters" Number.The arrangement is the same as "The Crying Shames" version from the 60's .Produced by Joe Meek. Ian does a great job in producing this track.Bip On Vocals

STARLIGHT: Fantastic song. written and sung by "Davy Graham" Davy is an exceptional talent. Vastly underrated he should be a superstar.

JERSEY GIRL: Vocal by Lyn Cover of the Tom Waits song. Lyn has a beautiful unique Voice. Again a Superstar.

ONCE WE WERE FRIENDS. Bip on Vocal. He wrote this. Takes time to grow on you then falls off. Great Music by Clem & Co in background.

OUT THERE LOOKING FOR LOVE: Davy Graham again. Singing and writing. This one sounds like a Eurovision song. I am sure it would win it too.

SATELLITE: Very interesting Instrumental written by Bip and Ian.great sound effects to start it. In The Joe Meek mould.Once again Ian excels. Nice Tune, and a Tornados sound .

TELSTAR NOW.Reworking of Telstar.The original tune bought up to date Does not work for me!!!

DANCING WITH DANGER:Lyn on Vocals with a great original song. Powerful Guitar in support.Lyn shows what a good singer she is on this track.Good Dance beat almost modern sound

SILVERBIRD.This is the stand out track.Composed by Lyn.A beautiful haunting melody.The sound is pure Tornados.Brilliant Bass Playing by Dave Harvey on this track

STARTEL: An Anagram of Telstar. This is a good fast paced tune, by Clem Cattini and Brian Miller.Catchy and springy great fun

NESSUN DORMA:Unbelievable.How could anyone do an Instrumental ofthis.Well The Tornados can.It is Magnificent. Helped out on Guitar by Ian on This one. Listen out for overdubbed handclaps. Clem's drumming is superb.

TELSTAR(the mix) Another version of Telstar. They cannot get away from the Quintessential Tune .Disco version not for the purist
